I have for sale I believe an old Volkswagen Jack. I am 95% sure of its ethnicity because I went on a VW spree a few years ago and had as many as 5 air cooled VWs over several years. I think this jack came from the 1960 VW that I restored to original condition. It was a beauty and due to circumstances beyond my control I had to sell it at a significant loss. For some reason when it was sold this jack did not go with it.
I'm cleaning out my shop.
The jack is painted black; it still has a couple of stickers on the jack one stating; 'see owner's manual' and the other a safety warning for use of the jack. Now that I look at it some of this on the jack is in French. I never had a French car so I suspect it was in the 1960 bug when I originally bought it from a lady in San Diego, CA. before I restored it. Possibly that's why I took it out of the car!
Please, someone contact me through Craigslist, and I'll have the jack waiting for you for $10. I hate to say this, but it is worth at least $10 if you take it to a recycling place. Jack weight: Probably 2 pounds. Does not have a handle but I'll look through my big drawer and see if I can add a rod that fits.
I don't want to throw this jack in the trash. It does have some value even if it only historic. I think it's worth $10.
