These heads are an excellent matched set for an early-production 1962 Impala SS 409 restoration or period-correct high-performance build.
Condition / Machine Work:
Hot tanked
Magnafluxed
Glass-beaded
Deck surfaces milled/surfaced .008" each
Exhaust flanges surfaced
Valve seats lightly touched up to verify condition
Machined for 7/16" screw-in rocker studs
Rocker studs were pinned years ago and show visible signs of modification (see photos)
All intake and exhaust bolt holes have been tapped and checked
Seats, guides, and runners are all in very good condition
These are hard-to-find original 409 big valve, big port heads with desirable early date codes. Excellent candidate for a correct restoration, vintage performance build, or collector car.
