It is designed for metal/ferrous materials as it has a water distribution system to keep the plate cool during sanding. But it can be used for wood if you forego water use. It is VERY heavy, maybe 4500lbs, and runs on 240volt 3 phase. It comes as you see it, with new and extra belts as well. Plus, I have smaller motors for you that are included. I have no room for this in my shop but you are welcome to take it to your shop and put it to work.
