Introduction:
Mil-Spec Designs is an American owned computer aided design service (CAD). I work with individuals and businesses to design new products, and or assist with existing products to be more efficient and cost effective to manufacture. I'll provide you with individualized and personalized service, because we're not an office floor of engineers. So, you'll always speak with me.
I have over 25 years experience as a mechanical engineer, specializing in mechanical design and manufacturing, I also have a degree in electronics. I was a CAD freelancer and machinist for 5 years before being hired full-time by one of my clients, where I designed, manufactured and tested pumps for 3 years. 3 years after that contract ended, I was hired full-time by a defense contractor client as their Chief Engineer, where I designed and tested numerous components and assemblies for aircraft and other systems for 8 years. I also wrote technical manuals, work orders and flow charts for those projects.
I also program, setup and operate a full range of conventional and CNC machinery, 3D printers, laser cutting and engraving centers.
Along the way, I designed, built and patented a camera stabilization platform (patent #9,201,292). As a fellow inventor and small business owner, I understand the challenges of turning your innovative ideas into reality.
